What is the difference between Skymax IX5 and S1?

Both sets have the choice between a steel shaft or graphite shaft. When do you choose? Steel or Graphite ?

Graphite is shock-absorbing and lighter in weight. Because it weight of the shaft lighter it ensures that you develop more speed with a lower club speed, especially suitable for seniors and ladies . With Graphite you have fewer vibrations in your hands, arms and shoulders.

Steel is heavier than Graphite which gives more feedback. You also hit one tighter ball flight with a steel shaft, Graphite has a bit more deviation than steel. People with a higher club speed often benefit more from a steel shaft.

Skymax IX5 golf set

Advantages Skymax IX5:

  • Deeper cavity back than the S1, so you don't have to be as precise.
  • The wider sole ensures good ground contact, the sole is wider than the S1
  • The putter is a Mallet putter. Mallets often straighten more easily than blade putters
  • You can order individual clubs if you lose a club. Unfortunately, the S1 does not have this option (except for the expansion sets)
